During her intern year, she was awarded the Medical Student Teaching Award.
Where Dr. Chande is Today
Dr. Chande’s favorite rotation during psychiatry residency involved providing psychiatric care to students at Emory University Student Health Services. After completing her residency and moving to Kennesaw, she pursued a position as a psychiatrist at Kennesaw State University. She is proud to have served as KSU’s first full-time psychiatrist, serving as the sole psychiatrist in the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services for 14 years.
In her role as the initial point of contact for many patients, Dr. Chande prioritizes providing competent and compassionate care with a strong focus on psychoeducation. At the end of each appointment, she asks, “Is there anything else I can answer for you?”
